Public Advisory – Suspect Vehicle Identified
DURHAM, NC (Thursday, February 26, 2026)– Detectives with the Durham County Sheriff’s Office are releasing new details and images related to the shooting that occurred on February 17, 2026, at the intersection of Globe Rd. and Page Rd.
Through the course of the investigation, the suspect vehicle has been identified as a matte black, 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro, without hubcaps.The vehicle, which was not displaying a license plate at the time of the shooting, was seen in the area of the Northern Durham Pkwyshortly before the incident began.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating this specific vehicle. Suspect Sought in Shooting Incident
A Durham man is being treated at a local hospital today after being shot at an intersection in Durham County.
Witnesses to the incident, which occurred just before noon today, observed two vehicles stopped in the left-hand turn lane of Globe Rd. The driver of the rear vehicle - described as a matte black coupe, possibly a Mustang or Camaro - exited and fired multiple rounds into a grey BMW driven by the victim. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene south on Page Rd. toward I-40. The victim fled north, eventually stopping in a parking lot at the intersection of S. Miami Blvd. and T.W. Alexander Dr. The shooter is described as a black male in his 30s wearing all-black clothing.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Durham County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensics Unit gathered evidence and are speaking to witnesses and the victim regarding what occurred.
This investigation is still in its early stages, and it is unclear what the motive for this shooting is. There is no further information available for release at this time. Anyone with information should contact CID at 919-560-0880.

Investigators from the Durham County Sheriff's Office are investigating a shooting in the area of Page Rd and Globe Rd. The incident occurred at approximately 11:50 AM.
